Attitude

The attitude category denotes the valence of the reciprocal emotional relationship between a SE and humans of the BT: “us” (e.g. rabbis, figures of biblical Israel and Judea, etc.) and “them” (e.g. Persians, Romans, figures of biblical kingdoms surrounding Israel and Judea). Four types of attitude are defined:

  • #pos[itive] – a SE increases biological and psychological wellbeing of a human belonging to “us”. E.g. it shares esoteric knowledge, performs various tasks, expresses submission or afflicts “them”.
  • #neg[ative] – a SE decreases biological and psychological wellbeing of a human belonging to “us”. E.g. it causes unspecified detriment, evokes medical conditions, causes various minor nuisances, supports “them”.
  • #mix[ed] – a SE exhibits mixed attitude, or the unit speaks about various SEs exhibiting various attitudes.
  • #uns[pecified] – a SE’s attitude remains unspecified.
